Writer & Co-producer

Inspired by a true story, ORO y POLVO is a romantic action-thriller that follows the dramatic rise and disastrous downfall of the Dominican Republic’s first drug cartel. They dared stand against the foreign powers that wanted their home as a shipment hub, and they learned the hard way why they stood alone.

When producer Bill Fay (THE HANGOVER, 300, INDEPENDENCE DAY) approached to write a movie set in the Dominican Republic, I had no idea ORO y POLVO would go on to be the largest Dominican production of all time. Starring Rafael Amaya of the hit Telemundo series “El Señor de los Cielos,” the film would ultimately play to US audiences via Telemundo as well. Production took place across the island nation over 35 days. I was initially to be on set for one week of rewrites but was asked to stay on as co-producer for the full run to help with creative solutions and manage a cast from the US, Portugal, South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
